These sunnies are sooooo comfy under my helmet when I’m climbing, flying, or riding. I absolutely love the purple lenses and the tint is perfect. I have a handful of sunnies from SOLO and they’re all really high quality. I love that they are recycled or repurposed material. These sunnies are worth every penny.
If you're like me, you've spent far too much time in your life in search of basic consumer goods with even a morsel of ethics, and even when you do, the product leaves much to be wanted.
This company seems relatively new, and as such, I made this purchase with no shortage of skepticism.
Well, I'm here to tell you that the search is over. These sunglasses are everything I wanted them to be!
Perfect Fit - I kind of can't believe how comfy these sunglasses feel. I received them in the late afternoon, and wore them well past sunset because I just really didn't want to take them off!
Legitimate polarization - I spend a lot of time on and around the water. Solo is not a gimmick, the glasses reduce glare just as anticipated.
- I just realized being made of wood, these might float! That would be a nice bonus.
Style - Now, I tend to lean towards an eccentric styling, and even still I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about these frames. Pay attention to the dimensions of these glasses. I was a bit foolhardy in that regard, because they -are- larger than I anticipated, but as mentioned above, I was lucky in the fact that they happen to fit my face perfectly. It was an acquired taste, albeit a quickly acquired one. I still held reservations at first, but after a couple hours of wearing them, I was in love - There's no going back! Between the wood finish and the bridge, they give off a real sweet retro vibe.

I just tested a pair of our wood and bamboo sunglasses in a pool, and they don't really float, I think the lens are too heavy.

I am really pleased with these shades, they have great polarised lenses, very effective at blocking out unwanted glare. They are a pleasure to wear and very comfortable as the woods finish is silk smooth and feels nice against the skin. They are lightweight and well designed I have no worries about them slipping off my head, I've tested by violently shaking my head to see if I could dislodge them and the answer was no. Fantastic build quality and craftsmanship is present throughout my glasses nothing has been overlooked no millimetre forgotten which I find especially impressive considering they have been handmade. The metal hinges on the arms have a lovely action and feel strong and look durable. My order was very carefully packaged to protect from harm during transit and arrived promptly.
